United in Christ is a nondenominational, community group of Christian young people, ages 5-21, who desire fellowship with young people from other churches and backgrounds in their efforts to serve God more fully. This group is not designed to take the place of, or supercede, anyone's home church youth group. Its goal is to supplement/complement local church youth groups--to occasionally bring together those various youth groups for the purpose of fellowship, encouragement and Christian growth.

Those UIC Youth who do not have a home church youth group currently meet on Wednesday nights from 7-8:30 at The Well, 201 E. 2nd St. Walnut Cove. These weekly gatherings may include a short scriptural lesson, praise/hip-hop dance practice, choir practice, games, crafts and snacks. For those youth who do have home church events on Wednesday nights, there are monthly UIC gatherings on days that should not conflict with home church services.

The UIC praise dance team, youth choir and hip-hop team perform at local youth rallies, churches and community events when asked. Youth are invited to join any or all of these speciality groups which are led by trained and gifted teachers/directors.

At the annual community Thanksgiving service in our little town of Walnut Cove, NC, our United In Christ (UIC) youth group performed a sign language/interpretive praise dance routine to a song of thanks, "For Every Mountain" by the Kurt Carr Singers. This was historic since it was the first time youth have been actively involved in this yearly event. This routine was choreographed by Chelsea Evans (the lady leading in front) and performed by youth from 5 different local churches. To GOD be the glory! The Lord is moving in Walnut Cove!
